Weight of wheels/tyres

Featured Replies

I might get some alloys with rubber off a guy who lives in (I think he said) Cumbria. They're cheap enough but I don't think i'll go and collect them as I live in Cambridge!

Can anybody tell me - have you used a courier for this and if so - how much?????

This is them......

What do you think they weigh?

Postvan said limit was 20kg and I sent 60kg worth of stuff and they just took it and delivered it fine.

However, they proper cheap but not without reason. They are liers cheats and scumbags. You get what you pay for I guess.

I've got those wheels, but i don't have scales strong enough to weigh them! If the bathroom ones will tell me i'll let you know though.

Don't take this the wrong way, but you didnt pay much for them did you?

The guy wanted £50, but I just texted him to say I couldn't do it. Found some in Basingstoke instead. Two of em sprayed! But I reckon a refurber could get that off fairly cheap? Too late if not - I bought 'em now!

The same set? I've got some that are knackered, they have rust bubbling and kerb marks galore form the bitch that owned the car before me, but if you're planning to get em refurbed anyways it won't matter... I'd swap em for a set of GT steels with tyres.

Shame your so far away mate. Might have a crack at refurbing mine if i can find some other shoes for the car.

Tcho!

You could have ridden on the steels i've got now while you were having them done. You would want to avoid the plod though. My tyres are slippier than a ho's puss! :-)

haha mine are very close to being ill-eagle, so much understeery fun in the wet!

Think i might get some steels from a scrappy and try sort mine out, see if i can make them into a half-decent set of winter wheels. Gona have to fully strip them first though.
