Hellloooooo, basically when i am driving a slight bang comes from underneath my car. not hitting anything on the road. (I'm use to that noise)

Then when i stop, get out, arm the alarm, about 30 seconds later there is a huge bang from the petrol tank. i wouldnt notice this usually a distance away from my car by this time. but my alarm has a shick sensor on it and hence the alarm goes off. its such a big bang, it bypasses the pre-warn and goes into full alarm.

does anyone no why this is doing it? i have noticed too that when i fill up with petrol there is alot of pressure in the tank, when i undo the cap there is a big woooosh of air.

any help appreciated !!

sounds like your fuel tank breather is blocked,check the small pipe that comes off near the filler neck and goes off to the charcoal canister in the osf wing.

If your tank breather is blocked, when you take the filler cap off after a drive it will suck air in.

yeah it sounds like a whoosh of air being blown out but it's actually being sucked in. Like they said you need to check your tank breather pipe. I know you've got mk3 engines in both your cars but did you bother putting that charcoal canister crap into the mk2? Check that the breather hose that would normally go to that isn't just blocked off.
