mk3 clutch

Featured Replies

as above how can i yell if its on the way out? I'm not sure if its just me imagining it but it seems to be biting a lot later than before, not that i can remember where it used to bite but I'm struggling to pull off without jerking due to it biting late and i never used to have this problem :?

is this a sign of the clutch waring out? if so how long have i got and if not how do i adjust it?

cheers for any help 8-)

How longs a piece a string?? Try adjusting the clutch cable using the 10mm nuts on the gearbox end of the cable. Wind down the nut to lower the biting point. The jeking could be because the clutch friction plate starting to warp.

Hope this helps.

Mine started to feel like it was losing power then you could really tell when you put your foot down the engne was revving harder but you weren't going faster as quick as you should be. Almost as if the gearbox is catching up.

I'd try adjusting the cable before I went out changing clutches as they are a complete slut of a job.
