Can anyone help me find a brake master cylinder for less than the main dealers price of £145 +VAT. its for a 1994 Mk3 polo match 1050 cc. Exhausted most avenues i can think of.

no, but an alternative is to fit the slightly larger master cylinder from a golf and use a blanking plug for the holes thats not used on it. it will make the brake pedal a bit harder to press though, and you can get them fairly cheaply from GSF or Euro Car Parts. someone else will be able to tell you the part numbers though

www.gsfcarparts.co.uk or .com i can never remember,... golf mk2 gti 16v master cyl is 22mm compared to polos 19mm,.... its less than 40 with vat! most people will tell you to stay away from main dealers prices are stupid.

might need some blanking plugs to blank the 2 unused holes if your pipe work uses t pieces

yes as long as the brakes work and it is fitted properly.
