the 1.6 has a longer stroke and taller head i think

depends which 1.4 and 1.6 engines you are talking about...

but genrally the 1.6's have a longer stroke. the cylinder heads are the same on most models(with a few exceptions) but they are all the same height

isnt one 1600 spi and then the aee multi point?

yeah there are a few.. many different engine codes use the same block and head, but the external components/ancilleriear are different
