as title are these available??

I've never been able to get any! there used to be a german company that made complete mirrors for the mk3 but the were about 200 quid a go! I've got dtm mirrors on mine and just made my own baseplates out of some plastic and some machine screws. (basically you cut the plastic to the same size as the triangle bit on the std mirror, drill holes in the std places, countersink them, fit some long m4 machine screws through holes (dont secure them with any nuts yet) fit the baseplate to the dtm mirror (i used universal ones)using self tapping screws (its worth drilling a pilot hole and countersinking them). you should now have one complete unit that will fix to your door using the machine screws like studs. I used a star washer and two nuts as the star washer will stop the stud from spinning and the second nut stops any chance of the mirror loosening off!

well the site is www.fk-automotive.de but obviously its all in german. ther is a english site but no online product catalogue bit i managed 2 translate it all and find them on the german site so they defo do them if u wanna order some then ring up venom motorsport on 01254 820005 and they will help u out dont try and order them of the venom website tho cus its not been updated yet and stil doesnt list the baseplates 4 the 2f polo as they are pretty new

i just rang venom motorsport and they do do them i.e fk do them e.t.c and they can get them..BUT venom wont sell them!!!!!!! how great is that! cus they said they have sold a few sets b4 and they have all come bk cus they just dont fit!!!!!! he said they are such a poor fitment that u have 2 drill the holes out in you are doors e.t.c so I'm bk 2 square 1!

It amazes me sometimes how many products are supposed to fit say mk2/mk3's and they just completely don't. I mean really what did you they use to produce the product in the first place. Surely it was trial fitted during production?

Keep an eye on ebay.de for some KPU and Muhr mirrors

Find a copy of Fast Car from like 1993. They're sure to have some examples in there.
