I have oil leaking in my polo gti Y reg.

Iv been told that there is no gasket availabe for this and that I will have to use silicone, can anyone tell me if this is correct please?

The rocker cover gaskets are available seperately. I think that you require a set of them but I'm not 100% sure on this. Part number: 051103483A is for the set of gaskets for cylinder head cover which includes the 1/2 moon shaped gasket which sits at the end of the rocker cover.

there is no gasket under the cam carrier on that engine. there is a special sealant you can buy from vw for it which is similar to hylomar

Thanks, Yea VW said there was only a type of Silicone that i could buy as it had no gasket. Halfords works out cheaper on price tho :)
