I've heard a few times now of people saying that the engine has spun a bearing, however how would you know if it had or not??

take the engine apart and look at the bearings, they have little notches in them to hold them in the caps and rods, if the bearing has spun then this notch would be worn down

Yep I get that part I just mean are there any external signs of spinning a bearing????
