My remote locking isn't working anymore on my MK5 GTI and i have no idea why. The alarm isn't even arming when i lock the car with the key. I have tried my spare key and still the same.

I have also check the fuses and they look fine.

Any suggestions?

check the central locking pump! mine stopped working as it got wet somehow on my mk4 so i took it out put it in the airing cupboard over night and its been fine ever since!

The central locking is working when i use the key but the alarm isn't coming on at all and the key isn't unlocking the car.

sounds like it needs re-programming.

its very common for vw/audi keys to this...

on the other hand...it could be the box inside the car thats fooked.

vag-com should tell you.

Sometimes if you play about with the button and your not in range of the car it can mess it up, will need resetting if this is the case
