Hi Guys,

I've got a Mk3 GT, was driving it on a regular basis until Dec when my insurance ran out! I left it to sit at home since as I'm at uni. Now I have finished I am returning home this week and I think its time for a summer overhall/service before putting it on the road again.

It is a bit of banger and has a high mileage (178,000!!!) but has a full service history & pulls like a train!

I'm going to change the oil & possibly the oil filter? Should I check the spark plugs? - what should I do to do this?

Should I replace the coolant & give the bottle a clean?

I need to have the breakpads changed - is it easy to do myself or is it nearly as cheap to get it done at a shop?

I think my clutch is a bit lose? Is it possible to tighten this up manually or am I lookin at a new one??

Is there anything else that I should do that I havn't mentioned?

I want to do as much of this as possible myself as I'm egar to learn & save money!

Any links to existing topics on how to do any of these things would be greatly appricated.

Also just been looking through, what ever happend to the articles section?? I remember that used to look really helpfull!! Does anyone have it saved on their pc somewere & would like to send usefull bits??
