Strip the wheels of rust with a wire brush, and then treat them with Nitromors to strip them back to the metal. Use the wheel refurbing guide in this section to fix any imperfections, and then whack on a can of Hammerite spray - it works as primer as well as paint. I did a cylinder head with it and had no complaints.

Just make sure that you do a lot of light, even coats.

I hope there's no rust - they're sposed to be alloy!! Was thinking of having them natural but the last owner sprayed a couple of them with paint!!!

A mate of mine said to go to the Morley Brothers in Milton. I keep meaning to ask for a quote from them but i dont have the funds yet. I know they offer sandblasting and powdercoating but i dont think alloy wheels are what they usually work on. Let me know if you get a decent quote.

And if you are going to do them yourself dont use a wire brush because that will make scratches which are a bitch to remove. Glad to see we got another cambs polo rollin on the streets!
