Hello again!

I do seem to ask a lot of questions - but an inquisitive mind is a sure sign of intelligence you know - honest!

I put the alloys I bought yesterday off horney (nice bloke*) on just now and noticed there is only 2 - 3 mm clearance between the wheel and the caliper on the fronts. In fact I had to snap off the end of the anti rattle springs to stop them catching! I definately need longer wheel nuts 'cos they only go in about 2 turns or so. My real question is do I need spacers to be on the safe side or is it ok for the wheel to only just clear the brakes?

They do look pretty good though - apart from the black one!!!!

2-3 mm is shit loads of clearance for a caliper you'll be fine. The wheel shouldn't move independantly of the caliper... if it does, you've got a problem. 2 turns? Yep, longer bolts would be a damn fine idea.

Although you'll definately be wanting your brake guard things on, wouldn't like to catch a stone or anything in there.

I took em off on the Derby as VWII calipers did not compute with mk1 stoneguards...you should be fine without em as long as you aren't planning on racing down any gravel tracks.
