Good Head Units

Featured Replies

I've seen a few people on here saying not to start buying subs etc. until you have got a good head unit. What exactly should I be looking for in a good head unit?

Theres a Kenwood one in my car but I'm guessing its nothing special as the old owners left it there.

you want somthing with a dedicated subwoofer channel.

this means that this channel on the headunit is dedicated to subwoofer only, and wont interfere with front and rear speakers!

so a head unit with 3 sets of rca outputs.... front, rear and subwoofer.

i wouldnt touch a kenwood....they need to stick to food blenders.

id highly reccomend a pioneer or an alpine.....dependant on your budget.

no basic model will do this.

you can get cheaper units with 1 set of rca's.....but you wont have the best sound quality.

you'll be looking around £200.....for a decent unit.

or check ebay....

mitch

that my friend is a fucking brilliant headunit!

I must have fitted over 6 of these in the past month!
