just been quoted £400 to get both rear arches pulled out. is this a good price or should i shop around a bit more?!

thats bloody expensive, the actual tool costs that much :p

how far can arches be pulled without having to resort to painting etc.

If you consider that the bumpers/wings both will have to be fibreglassed/painted, then I'd say that's a fairly reasonable price, try and haggle a bit and offer cash, you may get it down more than you think

some of you guys arent getting mixed up with rolling the arches by any chance?

flaring is adding metal to the arch, the whole rear quarter should be repainted to match, and if your arches are much wider, you might want to have the rear bumper extended to flow with the new arches

(like on my old mk 4)

that is fibreglassed as well as pulled / flared
