What does a totally std G40 boost at (PSi)?

What does a 68mm pulley make?

What does a 65mm pulley make?

What about toothies?

What gear / rpm does peak boost come in at?

my ported charger on a 68mm pulley made 14-15psi at the top of 4th

just stuck on my other charger last night, standard, its making about 7-8psi max, again on 68mm pulley.

I thought standard everything made about 10psi?

I wouldnt have thought youd want to run much more than a bar boost, max.

I though 14PSi was about a bar of boost?

I thought a std factory fresh G40 made 6PSi?

Is there really a huge difference between each car or are all boost gauges crap?

I'm going on what most small car turbos are recommended to be set at max, which is around a bar. So as a supercharger has a comp. end the same as a turbo, id say the same for a G40.

Manufacturers always set the boost WAY below the maximum in the factory as a large safety factor.

But then again a G40 is designed for a supercharger (I'm guessing not for a turbo), so the engine might not be able to handle much higher boost.

Ill be quiet, my field is turbos, not superchargers!

My G can achieve 17psi at the redline.

Basically a stock engine with flowed charger and toothies.

I get 15psi @ 6000 rpm using the VAG test boost gauge(calibrated)

Thats with a 65mm pulley ,toothies,R1 charger and a K&N panel filter.

My boost gauge only shows 13psi at the same rpm though,so yea the gauges vary greatly.
