rite i have a 1.0 polo coupe and have put a 1.3 engine in with a 5speed box at work it was a bit of a quick job but everything was done proply howether we didnt change the ecu due to the loom been different and the car still drove fine so i left it but now just lately i go in to secont then ma car will start kangroo'ing outa control??? it only happens once every now and again so i think it maybe worth posting in the wanted section for a 1.3 loom and ecu what do you guys recon any help would be much appreciated thanks

Sounds like a linkage problem more than an ECU one if its only happening when you go into second gear.

if u didnt change the ecu surely it will be fueling only enough for a 1.0,the 1.3 will need mre fuel etc.

just what I've been thinking aswell so ill have to track down an ecu and loom cant be that hard but i cant figure out what engine it is, all i no its a 1.3 and the reg number might be worth a phone to ma mates at v dub :-)
