I have a 1.4 CL Match 1999 V-Reg and the electric windows have started moving slowly and causing the revs to drop when I push the buttons. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know about the car but I'd take the door card off and see if anything is blocking/rubbing against the glass, sounds like the motor is labouring and taking more current causing the revs to drop. If there's nothing blocking it then some kind of lubrication in the runners should help it move more easily.

could be your window rubbers are dirty, give them a clean and see how it goes?

happened on my mates lupo gti, could not get window back up and often got stuck half way. turned out to be window rubbers been to close to the window. try cleaning them and stretching them apart. if they do get stuck use key in drivers door lock and hold in locking position this will put them up.

i have something simular goes down ok! but wen going up struggles and yeah on idle the revs will drop, down to window rubbers you say. what do i clean em with?
