So I've got a minor water leak that appears to be coming from the thermostat housing, but it doesn't appear to be cracked (heard of them cracking a few times on here).

It looks like it's coming from below that bolt. For people who have had theirs crack, is this where it cracked? As I said, it doesn't look like it's cracked, but it's not easy to see.

Otherwise I guess it must be the seal going into the engine near that bolt?

How much is a new housing? My ETKA says about €26, but I'm not sure how correct/recent that is. It's for a 1.3 SPI (AAV). Edit: Just looked on GSF website and they're £16.

Any advice/opinions would be great! It's nothing major at the moment but need to get it sorted soon.

What out when removing, as the bottom bolt rounded off on mine, as i have a leak the same place you do.

The bottom bolt gave me some problems on my mk2 too, I couldn't get any room for the rachet. I suggest that you see if you can get at it from underneath the car, loosen it first then remove it by hand from the top of the car to save you getting covered in coolant.
