I have a 3F GT which has developed a problem It runs very well most of the time, but Has developed an intermittent spark problem.

Sometimes I will drive 30 miles and have no trouble with it. Sometimes I wont get 100 yards from my house before it dies, and sometimes it just wont start at all. If I wait a while and restart it it usually will run for a while before stopping again.

I have checked that the injectors are injecting when this happens and they are so there is fuel supply, but the spark just doesnt happen. Has anyone got a theory as to what this could be is there a common spark fault on GTs and has anything like this happened to you guys before?

sounds like it might be the hall sender in the dizzy.

sounds similar to what happened in mine, mine was the dizzy

I think it is the dizzy, I have a new one in the post so I will see whether or not that fixes it. The dizzy apears to have a little bit of oil in it as though the seals have let some through.
