How would you go about doing this? I've got plently stupid ideas and this is one of them but I have no idea where to start!!

how do they do it in 'the force'? haha would it just be with a paint brush roller? any masking? i think id just slap it on with a 3" paint brush?

yeah and just for added effect just use masonary paint......

Sorry, I think you misunderstood what I meant. I mean desert camo as in this:

Not pink Land Rovers. I mean how do you get the pattern on the car? Do they have a universal stencil type thing that they just keep over lapping or do they just put different colours on in random? The easiest way would be to get a shit load of vinyl cut I'd imagine but thats not gonna be cheap at all.

I just don't want it to look proper shitty if you get what I mean.

4 inch brush and freehand I'm told. A poor finish reflects less.

EDIT: just looked at that pic youve posted and the brown bits are the same so that is probably a stencil... so maybe give the whole car a base coat of sand coloured paint so its even then just over lap stencils over that

just make it up as you go along! its not going to be wrong is it! and you will have that one to copy!

Roller for the main stuff, and brush for the awkward areas, and try to roller over those areas afterwards or you'll end up with very visible brush strokes

I got my paint from these guys - nato green but they do the full range fascinating finishes The paint is like an acrylic/plastic finish and stand up well to getting battered. They recommend 2 coats, but I did 3 because I applied the 1st coat by hand and made a right hash of it - this was the finish I got on my bike

Dunno if they're of any help. Spraying and stenciling would be your best bet I reckon.
