Just wondering how to remove the strips pictured below? are there any holes underneath them?

No. Id pour hot water over the molding,to warm the glue,and hold a piece of cardboard over the panel at the end to protect the paint. Then,using a serving spoon,id lever the end of the molding with the dish of it,enough to get hold of it,and gently peel it off. Maybe it'd all go horribly wrong,but thats what id do.

yer thats right but if you use the search function there are loads of other techniques if you dont feel so comfy doing it that way

maguires bug and tar remover or wd 40 and a rag or petrol on a rag and a wash after all reguire abit of elbow grease imo the petrol option is easiest but least safe

Yea I used bug and tar remover and a cloth, very sore shoulders and arms the next day :p but its worth it.

Its easier to heat them up with a hairdryer then used a piece of fishing wire to cut through the glue behing the strip.

but that doesent get all the glue off you usually end up with bits here and there

be careful heating it up as u can dislodge the paint and cause it to come off the bidy :(

Lemon juice works well, you can buy cans of adhesive removal spray on ebay, smells just like lemons! lemon juice in a spray can basically! it helps getting all the sticky gunk off

Well I went out and baught Tutrle Wax Bug and Tar remover and it's ok but after about 1 hour of scrubbing only goy about 1/4 of it off...getting a bit tediouse scrubbing lol! Might try the lemon juice lol, scared of trying petrol!

well I've just used the petro on the step dads caravan to remove the glou from the sticky tape where they taped up all the compartments on the van and i did the whole thing in 10mins the gave it a squirt with water all done...

Finally got all the glue off :) (used lynx lol worked a treat) but i'm now left with a strip of paint that has faded white i think it might be water damage. anyone else had this problem?

You'll need to use a colour restorer,such as Tcut,in any case. The paint under the moulding is usually better than the rest of the car,and thus a good polish with a colour restorer is effective.
