My mate's Mk3 (R reg) has water collecting in the passenger footwell - it seems to be dripping down from under the glovebox. It's not coolant but rainwater. Are there any obvious or common places that it could be coming in ?

if its rainwter then its best to check the cabin filter... if the area around it gets clogged up then rain water wont go anywhere except into the cabin filter and into the car

look under the plastic panels at the base of the windscreen...next to where the wiper mechanism is (passenger side)

Check the window seals?
