I've seen it fit Ibiza's, and thats the same chassis.

Need some serious stretching to get the tyre tread inside the arches for the MOT (or a spare set of wheels)

From experience though, 7 - 7.5 max on the front. (unless you can get et35's, then you'd get away with 8's)

Absolutely no fappin way will they work if your going low at all? They will need SERIOUS archwork!

My mate has 9's on his ibiza, it ran without him rolling hte arches but it did scrub if you wanted to get in it.haha

Once rolled they are fine! Can take 5 people no problem!

I think that the ibiza arches have more clearance in then than the polos though!

Not a wise idea...Depends on the ET mine are 14x8J et 15...Cant take anyone in the back, I think its only down on 70mm atm. Scrubs on small bumps in the road, Might have to get your arches pulled let alone rolled.

And is your mates car lowered? well the ibiza must have a serious bit more clearance than the polo, cos i have 8's on the back with the rear lowered about 60mm and if i put 1 person in the back its painful. Two people in the back and i will have constant scrub no matter fast or slow or big the bump is!

I seriously doubt your mate can get 5 in the car with 9's without scrubbing!!! WITHOUT ARCHWORK??? No chance, unless its on stilts!

Standard height will look extremeley silly in my oppinion and with a full car i'd still expect a fair bit of scrubbin.

If you wanted your arches rolled, your prob speakin around the £200 mark......and flared, i'd expect round about the £500 mark cos there is the very high possibilty the wings will need resprayed due to paint cracking etc

He has had the arches rolled and pulled out about 1cm (would have cost him £100 to do all the arches but he cracked the paint so didnt charge), it has cut springs and they were 45mm lower anyway, so the wheels are sitting just where the arches are.

Here are a couple of rough pics (sorry we were experimenting with on road pics! you should have seen it at bluewater if any of you lot were there)

I cant find any ones since we have "lowered it" that are better.

aaaahhh right so he has had the arches done! That does look dam sexy! Does he not get any rubbing like that? yeh you hear about it all the time paint cracking! ends up why its so expensive in the end.

The ibiza defo has more clearance for 16's anyway as it is a slightly bigger car. but with a hell of alot of butchering it could work. PM Poundie, cos i think he had 16x9's on his mk4 and it required alot of work!

Haha he says thanks for the compliment!

Nah hardly gets rubbing at all!

But yeah it would cost him prob about 30 to get the arches re done because of the paintwork that has cracked and th bends in the metal from the slight rolling.

I've seen one polo with 9's on and he had had some massive work done on his arches!

I've got 9's on my polo (mk3) with a -10 offsett and they stick out about 4 inches!!haha
