i have a dewedged throttle body,

pitfalls are - messes up your idling (really juddery sometimes cuts out), setting off can be dodgy. but apart from that it is a good cheap (free) mod!

i think there is a guide on this somewhere on the site, I'm sure i saw it.

yeah i thought i saw it but i cant seem to find it. If those are the pitfalls, what are the plus points then lol

Better flow at higher RPM, so definately advantages with a high flow filter, exhaust and Cam

Am i right in thinking there isnt much point doing this til you have a decent induction kit, cam and exhaust then? Or will it make a big difference as a standalone mod?

there's not much point full stop on a GT or NZ, the wedge on them is tiny anyway. I reckon you'd be better off with the better low-speed throttle control than the tiny amount of extra air-flow getting rid of he wedge would give.
