Hi all,

When my mate was takin my alternator off today, the bolt where the blue wire connects, snapped off! So its snapped flush with the alternator.

So basically, is the alternator for the G40 the same as the rest of the models?

I need one ASAP!!!

Startin to wonder whether selling my sensible lupo sport is such a good idea! Once it's back on the road I'm sure I'll be happy enough again!

whats different about the alternator?

drill the snapped bolt out

even if you got someone to do it for you it would be cheaper than a new alternator surely?

g40 alternators are 65a wheras other mk3s are 55a

and the mounting is different i thinks.
