stealth exhaust

Featured Replies

I'm leaning towards changing my twin exhaust for a stealth item which will obviously be tucked up behind the bumper and hidden away.

question is - is this gonna be ok for an mot? I'm sure I've read that to mass the mot, the exhaust has to "clear" the car, i.e. stick out from the back which is the opposite of what i want to achieve with the stealth!

Look at almost any VAG diesel car. They're all tucked away. In fact, most modern cars have the exhausts tucked away.

There should be no problem. Your more likely to get grief for having an exhaust that sticks out 20 foot!

Crazy japanese banzai style!

Stealth as long as pointed downward you'll be fine.

I think an MOT failure on a stealth exhaust would be if it were in contact with the body work, e.g the inside of the bumper....fire hazard etc

Other than that, it will be fine
