right i am in two minds weather to renew my centre box as i have got a de-cat front section coming soon and going to be ordering a philj backbox soon as well. I dont know weather the get a new centre box or just clean up the one thats on now. The one thats on it a bit rustly where it joins the backbox and has the odd rust scab here and there.

what are your thoughts??

p.s i am tring to keep costs to a minimum.

wait til it rusts through then replace it! or go get one from a scrapyard for a fiver (hehe it was brand new :p)

I'm soon to be getting a back box from philj and my centre section is fooked as well i was thinking about trying it without the middle section, from what i hear its not much louder. Not sure without a cat though.

for gods sakes dont get a straight through section with those phil j ones. Mine was horribly loud.

Sorry this is a little off topic but where did you get your de-cat pipe from? I have been trying to find one for ages for an AAU in a mk3 coupe but had no luck so far.

What about with a centre section? Better?

Losing the mid box doesn't make the car much louder while on the standard back box, just makes it pop all the time between gears and on the overrun.
