Can anyone enlighten me on just where to top up the gearbox oil on a 2001 1.4SE Polo? Should it be topped up till just to top or overflowing? I can't find any reference to this in the supplied owner manual.

fill it to the bottom of the fill hole, so when it runs out let that stop then you're done! and you should find the fill hole of the front facing side of the gearbox.
