Does anyone no about matt paint for your car.Can you get different colours other than your blacks and army colours.I want the red oxide colour.I no you can get red oxide primer but this absorbs water cos its a basecoat primer.Unless I could clear laquer over it.Any ideas cos I ant got a clue??

well clear lacquering wouldnt work as lacquer is shiny so would defete the point of covering it in matt paint but you can get normal paint and get something called matting agent taht you can add to any paint taht will work...

yes u can bud i beleive House of Kolor have just released there Hot rod flatz range which comes in loads of clolours and even mettalics and stuff so maybe check it out

il remember tht is it a specialists thing or can you pick it up from anywhere

well I've only ever got it through a specialist racer frined/body shop owner so they should be able to get it (bodyshops)

matting agent can only uually be obtained thro paint supliers

can you get other colours in satin? i got my car satin black at the min, would it just be a case of getting another satin colour and just not lacquering it to get the same effect? or is satin black not like other sprays? love that look of satin black but getting bored of it and matt just looks ghey after a week or so.

yes u can get satins bud from many places especially B&Q they do a paint made by PLASTI KOTE called super satin in a wide range of colours

Sometimes poundland keep it in stock. I got 2 tins of Satin Orange from there. If not Wilkos stock it as well. Cheaper than B&Q usually and obviously its exactly the same product.

They do a wicked lilac colour, would be pimp to do a car in that.

^^^ gonna have to take a butchers in a couple of weeks, need to get it running right before painting it again, cheers for the advice :D

hell yes i have a few tins of that lilac just want sumthing to put it on:) mmmm maybe the jetta ;)
