pulled over last night

Featured Replies

hi everygone

got pulled over last night by the police, asking me if the polo is registered to me (I've only had it since saturday) and they were saying something about how it is registered as a trade forecourt car, or something like that. in most instances should the registration have processed by now? i left a little bit confused as to what the problem was, having only owned the car 6 days.

thanks

it can take up to 28 days for a changeover to go through. As long as the paperwork's been sent off, it's in the Governments hands. If you've explained this to them, they'll probably put a note on to stop you getting pulled again for the same issue.

General tip for being pulled over is if you're right with them, they'll generally be right with you.

If you get this problem again show them the little green slip you get when you buy a new car (i dont know what its called but its on the log book normally, the small slip that states when you brought it etc etc)
