Hi guys, I thought its time I showed some of you guys my car - Not sure whether you'll like it though because its japanese :p

I'm gonna let the pics do the talking - Its a Toyota Starlet SR which is being converted in to a Glanza. (The Glanza is the Japanese turbo model)

I'm 16 and this is my first car

When I bought it - pretty chavvy!

Started stripping it for a respray

Trial fitted the Glanza front

And then stripped again

Painted the engine bay

Bonded glass out

Interior painted

Masked up

Fitted a 4 branch inlet half way through this because I got it cheap :p

Picked up my fresh headlight from Toyota

Got all the garage sorted out with dustproof sheeting, and got on with painting it

Out of the garage

Fitted the bonnet because it was taking up room

Sourced this too

Back in the garage for more lacquer

I've kinda fcuked the lacquer up now so it'll stay in the garage for another week or so.

And I need to buy a Glanza front bumper and sideskirts. I may go for an aftermarket kit though but nothing shabby!

Thanks mate.. The lacquer has run pretty badly and reacted in a few places. Gonna flat it all in a few days and take it from there!

Wheres your mate from? And yes, the Starlet Turbos really shift for what they are!

A62 Leeds Road,,,just near Heckmondwike (dunno if you know it)mate lives nearby too,,his mates a genius with starlets/glanzas.Has put glanza engine in an SR in the past and knows em back to front..Yours looks cool anyway man.

I know where you mean mate, whats you are car like?

The Glanza engine drops straight into the SR, the wiring takes a few mods and I wish to do mine one day too!

Get your mate on www.toyotagtturbo.com and he could tag along to the local Starlet meets we have in Yorkshire!

Looks class, should come out looking wicked! I know for a fact that there fast! Drove one when I stayed at a mate from uni's flat in Japan, They own a 07 525i, One of these and a 06 RX-8. Top job

do you get to wakey or ponty much?? Not much happens anymore really,,,normally end up on the motorway terrorising people in the starlet or their skyline,,all good fun.

I'm gonna be after some tasty JDM rims soon. I want these Advans:

15" if I go for the stock Glanza bumpers with the optional splitters, but 16s if I decide to go for an aftermarkt kit which will be expensive though!
