well said eurosmith :lol::lol::lol:

....I've not got a polo, and i love loads of cars...but not starlets lol

I think you've done a good job doing it yourself, but i dont like the look of it at all.

But dont let my comment spoil the thread. Most people are loving it.

you should consider signing up to the club, its only a fiver and considering the amount of bandwidth all your pictures take up on a polo forum it would be the least you could do

cor' man what the

let the man do his project thread

This is CLUB POLO. Not club Starlet. There is a section for non-polos aswell. Oh yeeeeaaaaah

i think its a great project and all but it shouild be posted in the non polo projects in the main gallery section thing.

looks cool as fooook m8.. needs a crazy slamm... how bout photochopin a litle yellow outline on the edge of the rim.. black of the wheels an the tyres need to be broken up a touch.. just my 2p worth tho pal..

looks coolio!

saw a nice one after work yesterday in silver...could tell it was the turbo version because of the mahoosiv intercooler sticking out of the front.

8-)

I don't realy like the car particulary, but i can appreciate the work done to it, it does look mint.

Cheers for the nice comments guys

I'm hopefully gonna try a Yellow pinstripe on the lip of the wheels on the weekend, but not sure I'm gonna keep it. If the wheels were bigger then I'd be sure to do a Yellow lip ;)

That's a bad ass, I wish I hadn't messed about so much when I was 16, I could of had a license and a car and even attempted to do something this amazing!! Instead I spent my money at clubs and pubs lol. Hats off to you sir, I envy you. Lol.

P.S. all you need is a black Glanza sticker somewhere on the side to match the yellow/black theme!!

Ste

Love the car, love the thread.

And your pics aren't exactly taking up bandwidth, seeing as they are hosted on your photobucket.

Latest addition is fitting the dial surround back in, couldn't get the b*stard speedo cable back in cluster though it was such a nightmare, so its left out for the time being. I'll be respraying these the next time I mix some paint because the paint has reacted in some areas! :(

Chavvy or whatttt?! But me likes! ;)

I also received my Glanza inner arches today. I'll fit them when I can be arsed :)

Small update...

Woke up to see the car like this...

DSC00982.jpg

...and thought its about time I should spray these two wheels too. So off I went to buy yet another spray gun (5th one?!)

Just a random rear shot, I'm so happy with this view - its EXACTLY how I wanted it!! (Light smoke rear tint and a smarter number plate maybe in the future though)

DSC00983.jpg

By the end of the day I had the wheels painted and fitted. The centre caps were still wet though so I'll put them on tomorrow.

I've also got a Sony MP3 headunit (Need proper DIN brackets) and added a little TGTT sticker on the windscreen :p

Also, since I've built the car up, the drivers door scrapes on the wing everytime I open it. This lead to the paint scraping off the door :(

So I thought I'd rip it off and line the door up properly

DSC01010.jpg

And thought I'd fit the Glanza inner arch while that was off

DSC01012.jpg

Put it all back together again

A close up of the finish of the rims..

I'm happy with them!

After: (Excuse the dirty rim)

I'm still not too sure about keeping the pinstripe on..? I have to say though that it looks better in reality, on the pics it makes the wheel look really small because the outer lip is Black and blends with the tyre!
