Trial and error. I'm doing other A Levels such as ICT and Art

What sort of equiptment do you use mate ?

2hp compressor with a 55L tank, and a gravity fed spray gun with a 1.4mm tip

How do you "bake the paintwork being in a garage ? Do you use gas heaters as they dont give off moisture or blow particals around in the air .

I borrowed some electric heaters from a mate. They looked a bit like this:

just had a quick skim through the thread and two things i noticed this fella got less abuse/negative comments than my polo project.....

and people saying good job for a 16 year old, mate it's a good job regardless i know people who have backstreet bodyshops and they'd be pushed to produce such a finish!

all i can say is fair play mate, i'm really not into any form of jap cars but thus far there are no boy racer bobby bolt ons etc, this has been produced to a good spec with a more mature perspective and to a good all round standard, not just painted a lairy colour with an exhaust, everything has been taken into consideration.

to be fair if you got the hump with a jap car on the polo site you don't have to click on the thread, i'm sure we can all appreciate a good effort and it's not that he's been giving it jap cars are best etc etc.

this is probably my fav build thread on the forum, not just cos the guy has done all the work himself, but also because it looks fantastic and isnt the same old stuff you see day in, day out on a vag forum, makes a nice change. I wouldn't bother with the extra spoiler though as that seems a bit overkill to me.

Never been a fan of 3 spokes to be honest. More of a fan of wheels that just fit in with the style not stick out as being anything in there own right.

Rear bumper and lip with one coat of paint:

The paint takes ages to get off, I've been through countless sanding discs (320 grit) and its a pain. Someone should come and help me with it!

I have also fitted a Short Shifter and man that rocks! Although I haven't been able to drive the car yet.
