MK1 Polo, how to drop it on its belly???

Featured Replies

Hi there,

looking for some help.....

Just bought a 1979 Mk1 polo and am looking for some advice on how to lower it??

What is the best way, looking to get it slammed, coilovers, shorter springs only.....?

Also, can anyone point me in the direction of suppliers who can sell me the kit?

Many thanks

Shaggy....

Hey Buddy

I have 2 Mk1 Polos

One 78' the other 80'

I have them both fitted with 60/80mm spring and shock kit from PhilJ only £130 delivered to your door!

Easy to fit plus he also sell's lowering caps for the front as the shocks are shortened but not adjustable like the rear!

Hope that helps mate..

p.s. Get some pics up of your Mk1 :D Where about you from??

Yea you want the 80/60 kit and some 10-15mm lowering caps and adjust the rears down to give that pimp 95/70mm look.

Hows your Mk1 these days James..

..I have a new one I'm playing with just at the mo!

Hey,

I am from Watford, will post some pics assoon as it stops fecking raining and I can give the car a wash....

PhilJ, how do i make contact, is PhilJ his user name on the forum, if so any ideas how to message him?

Cheers

If you go onto the main forum page there is a a section further down called Jackson Tuning, all the info is in there.

AFAIK you'll need some other bits if you're changing from an early mk1 setup to the late mk1/2/3 new bits, I cant remember what at this moment tho
