Now the indicators are playing up... help!!!

Featured Replies

Having had the dash panel apart to look at the fuel guage, me indicators have now stopped working. For some reason the light on the dash is always on, but dull. When the indcators are switched on, the light on the dash glows bright green as it should but doesnt flash, their is no relay noise and the lights dont flash. The hazards work fine, and the light on the dash flashes as it should when they are on (and goes properly off between flashes, not just glows green)

Are the hazards and the indicators on separate relays? As it seems to suggest a blown relay. Alternatively, could summit behind the dash have been damaged and caused this?

I gotta drive the car to wales tomorrow morning, so any help appreciated!

They are on seperate relays, so you might need anew one, but if it was working fine before i'd check that you haven't just dislodged the +ve feed (red wires) from it. You'll find it above you're glove box and on mine its attached to the hazard relay, cant remember which is which but just turn the hazards on and it'll be the one thats not ticking!

Hope this helps

Cheers. thanks to the wonders of haynes manuals and Spearson, they are now working!

Hey, my indicators are now doing the exact same thing, really really annoying, just i fix one electrical fault another one, :retard: was it the relay in the end?

they also run seperate fuses
