my mk4 has been randomly miss firing for a couple of months now, it randomly decides not not fire up, it turns the engine over, just doesnt fire! sometimes when its really hot it does it, sometimes when I've come back to it after driving in it for long period of time it does it... GRRR then sometimes if i wait ten minutes it will decide to start up!!!!

this happened to anyone?!

i have a brand new battery, recently serviced car n all. it just doesnt add up.

Hi Lee, i'll be the first to admit that i don't know much about engines and i'm sure they would have been changed in the service but have you checked your plugs are in good shape and seated correctly?

Ignition Coil is a common problem...

next time it dont start check that the spark plugs are sparkin (can get a little plug on tester)... if none of them are then its probably the coil
