can i put the 1.8 throttle body on my 1.0 polo? its a mk2 loon so I'm guessing it has no ecu wotsoever? 1987 model.

No you can't if it's a carb'd motor I'm afraid. It needs to be a single point injection car.

Ahhh ima only young at 19 and i really cant bring myself to pay over a grand for insurance on a GT when i can buy the car three times over nearly for that .

I'm 20 and pay £320 a year for my GT TPF&T. There is no way you should be paying a grand. Also if you are swapping the rest of the stuff over and not telling them you are still breaking the terms of your insurance so what difference does it make swapping the block? If you arent telling them about your other mods then why would you tell them about swapping the block?

Hello people just reading these posts, my first polo was a 1litre HZ and i fitted a digijet system from a 1300 golf mpi, in addition the head had been skimmed and the monkey that did this didnt know the difference between a thaw of a mill or a mill i had a jag fuel pump and it was a flying machine very rev happy 7k .

orite been reading the posts and thought I should add my bit I have put the late 1.3 tb, inlet and injectors in my 1.0L as well as poloace chip and a homemade induction kit by using the golf elbow running a pipe down to the space in the wing, filter, heat shield bolted to the air box mounts and a cold air feed running from the space in the bottom of the bumper beside the horn and it runs brill had no idling probs what so ever even from cold , next is to put in the gt 5-speed gear box and gt cam that I have laying about, should get it in next week some time will post when I do. Have also been taking pics so will post up all before and after shots and what I did to my 1,0L when I am finished. Must say has been won of the most fun we project I have done on a car :-D

Hi there guys i was just reading all this and was wondering can all these mods be done 2 my m-reg ? gt cam ,1.4 throttle body ,gt gearbox ? wasnt sure as I'm haveing problems fitting a dam set of gt clocks already .....peace matt.
