get some pics up and we shall fire away :) alloys would be a good start

yep get some pics up and we can get the mods listed for you.

I'm at work at the moment so no access to pics of mine in particular.

but it looks very similar to this, except mine is a 5 door: http://images.craigslist.org/0101050102010...a2b61005b2d.jpg

any alloys you would recommend?

thanks for the quick reply btw!

well to start with personally if you haven't got alot of cash maybe start by colour coding some parts... like I've done then

washer jets

door handels (soon to be)

and things like that

but if youve got abit of cash i would say coilies and wheels

Id say lowering first, then the wheels will make or break your car.

ok, that's helpful thanks.

I've already thought about putting smoked tints, so i guess it would make sense to have alloys as well.

i'm not too keen on lowering at the moment. i'm more keen on doing something with the interior, such as bucket seats? leather gater, neon lights.

do you guys know any particular sites that would be helpful in buying stuff? and i have a bit of cash, but don't want to go over the top. as i said, start small, and build up.

thanks

no no neons lol (it is up to you though) bucket seats would be great but they aint half dear for quality ones... and if your going to fit some decent alloys thenn without lowering your not reeally releasing the full potential of what youve spent on wheels (imo)

ah yes i see what you mean, and it makes sense.

i know bucket seats are expensive, but when modifying is anything cheap? lol

yep home colour coding is hint hint lol but a gaiter knob and handbrake gaiter and handle and a steering wheel and some quality seats would do for the interior until you can afford to get your door cards coded the same colour as your seats

alright ill start shopping around for those things, and will report back. thanks.

another thing that has been bugging me is lights. is it possible to get angel eye headlights like the ones on bmw's? for the rearlights, I'm thinking of getting chrome lexus ones.

whats your opinions on this. cheers

yer you can get them but not taht they [/url]will look good... but personally a bit of a smoke will look good here are a few sites i shop on

Aye agree, its suprising how much difference a slammed car can look with the right set of wheels.

peronally i wouldnt go for lexus style lights on that polo as it will just spoil the look. but its your car and u do as u wish mate :) show us pics of your car and after you do bits to it

lol i know its my car, but i would really like it if you guys gave me constructive criticism.

i am new to modifying, and i dont want to make a right tit of my car and myself. that's why i have come here to ask the guys 'in the know'!

what would you suggest instead of the lexus style lights?

yer, i will defo be posting pics and updates, and troubling you guys further :p

the troubles not a problem... and as for alternative ligths maybe just a ligth smoke and side repeaters (if it even has any in the wing) smoothed and headligths bubls uprated and then tint the ligths maybe but as I've said there is loads of differant things in the members motors thread

Ok, update.

I have seen some nice smoked angel eyes headlights for £160.

Is that worth it? And how hard is fitting?

Cheers

well depending on where you get them from fitting should be a case of read the instructions and see how you go and YES it is worth it imo go for it... if you could post a link to where you have seen these ligths I'm sure somone could post up wether they are easy fitting
