Hi all, I have an '84 mk2 coupe HK engine, going to do electronic ignition. My question is : does anyone have experience with the pertronix igniter kits? By my reckoning the correct kit is number 1847V which fits most Bosch dizzy's. I have read about the SAAB dizzy swap, but they are not easy to come by over here, whereas the pertronix kit is readily available (lots of escorts etc over here) also can't get the complete kit from a later polo, as there are none here...

I decided to stay with mechanical points but fitted a transistor assisted ignition system:

Points will last 30k miles now (they would last forever if they didnt mechanically fatigue) as there isnt alot of current going through them anymore, there just used as a switch
