hi there everyone,

I've got alot of mini goodridge hoses lieing around and was curious if they would fit ma mk3 coupe? the length is perfect but I'm not sure about the psi's of both polo and mini? i wouldnt think they would be taht differant ? but i figured asking you guys would give ma a answer :-) oh and also I'm not too sure about the thread on either? so if possibel is there somewhere i could find this out first?

well the polo threads are M10x1.0mm dont know about minis, bit you could get that of a mini forum

well its only a guess but I think they should be fine for pressure

all i can say is i will try them and find out lol if they blow up ill know about it lol..

the hoses are off HIGH performance minis so they should be ok.

oh great thanks so much. just need some one on the mini forum to reply to my post but i dont think anyone knows

the threads are different cant remember what mini size is but definatley different from a polo

you could still use em but you'd have to make new pipes with different sized unions on each end and if they're rears you'll have to use female unions and double flare the pipe

they are extended fronts... so what would i have to make a link pipe to join them liek what I'm gonna post in a minute lol

cant see that being a problem, as long as the pipe part cant touch anything on full lock?

gonna have to do something similar at the other end aswell but it'll work

why dont you just buy the right unions seperately and change them?

brake line should not be tackled by ametures if you can get the right size unions to fit the mini lines for your 3/16" brake line then you would need someone who can flare the end with a good flaring tool which i have sykes pickavant other than that i wouldnt bother if you need help and your local to derby then pm me otherwise you know what to look or ask for !!

I've got a Draper brake line flaring kit and wouldn't say it's a difficult job, I've replaced most of the rigid pipes on my Polo and my dad did all of them on his Discovery...

well i remade all my solid lines myself, what i meant was that rather than boding bits of solid pipe and tarting about, it would be much better to just go out and buy the right fitting goodridge unions in the first place

yer i see wht you mean mate i think i will get the proper ones as they cant be that expensive and I've got a draper flaring tool and all the hoses on ma dads andy i did with him
