Hi guys, bought a GT recently which is apsolutely immaculate, good service history an just coming up to 95k, thing is it seems so much slower than my last one which was on 100,000 odd and was very tapetty?? this ones a L reg with a cat and my last one was decatted with a fourbranch. Thing is the new one seems really unresponsive, and very slugish in second? i no the clutch is on the way out as it barelly spins but just wondering why its slower? perhaps heavy deposits have built up due to the style of driving its had? any help greatly appreciated cheers tom

could be loads of things but avin the cat on ther n that wont help. does it all run ok otherwise??

yeah fine mate, idle speeds a bit dodge but ptherwise, the clutch is shagged tho i recon

yeh my clutch is wanked as well dont worry and funilly enuff my idle speed is a little lumpy as well..also very juddery on minimal throttle...i think in this section ther is a faq at the top of the page and it lists the common faults could be 1 of them. what feul u using? same as old 1??

Cat could have broken up inside, maybe the lambda sensor is up the shoot, temp senders etc.

Might need a dose of forte or similar, or maybe just a good hard rag. Tis amazing the difference in performance of my Polo after a few days of ragging.
