alright all,

I've got a 97 1.9D CL polo. When I turn the steering wheel to the right I get a groaning sound. Doesnt happen when I turn to the left. The Sound comes from the front right hand side of the car.

I'm gonna take a look at the weekend and probably start with the wheel bearing.

Any Ideas as to what it may be or any advice where I should look????

Not sure what may be causing this. I have a 1.9D cl aswell so i shall look out for this fault on mine. Nice to see some1 else on here with a diesel! Does the power steering use fluid? I'd reccomend changing that.

I changed the power steeing fluid a couple of months ago when I replaced one of the lines.

Nice to know that I'm not the only one with a van like 1.9D

could be the power steering airlocked? I've got a mk4 diesel aswell, which i hate.

thanks, I didnt think of that, any ideas of how to proove then remove an airlock in the power steering system
