I've had my polo for about a month, but never got round to sending the V5

off, i did fill it in though.

Now I'm selling it because my brother is giving me his car but i have this filled in V5...

can i tip-ex my details off? Or cross my details out and put the new owners details?

i wouldn't of thought so.

I just recently bought a car who the previous owner had filled the details in, but did not send the V5 off......which was dodgy it'self!!!

He presented me with this & I didn't know what to do.......so I tip-exed all the info out.....including signature & sent it off expecting to be questioned by DVLA but I did not!!!

So go for it....or apply for another log book at the cost of £25

I bought my car off a guy who again didnt bother to send off the V5 and the only pen he had in his house for me to fill it in was an old felt pen hehe, still no hastle gettin my one from the DVLA though.

So i say just scrub your details out and put in the buyers.
