What kind of seal is it between the head and the thermostat housing? i.e. gasket etc

As mine is leaking and I need to replace it soonish.

What do you mean?

The only seal is a little rubber ring that fits snugly into a grove behind the thermostat.

Is your housing leaking? It's easy and cheap to replace, you might aswell do the thermostat too.

Its leaking where the housing joins the head. Is there no seal here?
