I'm getting my New shape Polo in Sepember.

Iv picked out some 17" wheels for it.

Does anyone know what size tyres I am going to need?

Also how low can i safely lower it?

Ermm i dont want to go supidly low. Do you reckon between 30 - 40 MM?

Would i need just springs or coil overs?

205/40/17 will prob be better mate. Thats what I'm running on my 9n (mk6) I was lowered on springs bout 40mm whch was fine- no rubbing. I wanted to go lower so I'm now down 100mm/120mm achieved with Air ride.

How wide are the wheels going to be?

30-40mm is absolutely nothing, you won't notice it. The arches on the 9ns are so huge you could probably drop it 80 all round and still get away with it as a daily.
