Rear Of car is really soft??

Featured Replies

Ok I'm driving a Vw polo mk4 6n. I just put in coilovers, their only hight adjust but the front ones are hard compare to the back ones, the back keeps rubbing the arches when I'm on bad roads, but the thing is when i bounce back of car the spring on the coils dont movee, well they dont seem to, its the part thats conected to the hub goes p and down, what is this! will the back always be this soft or wa?? it was the same as the springs! the coils on the back just broght the car down but its still as soft as ever! is their something else wrong??

Please help!!

if taht bits moving then surely its because they arent tigthend up properly? i would wizz round then ALL with a torque wrench and get them all bang on (the correct tigthness can be found in the haynes)

it aint that at all id say its just the coils are soft.... still exlent for money, I'm gona see if i could get the same springs in the front coils to put in back and if i cant do that I'm gona try and get 2 good coils for rear!! i no FK do them!

surely the spring rates of the front and rear would be the same if you got them in a kit? you shouldn't be able to notice a difference in the stiffness.

Why not try fitting an anti roll bar

the rears are way softer, when i sat on the edge of the boot it dropped atleast 3/4 inch with my new weitecs its drops about 5mm no exageration

mike

how low is the car? maybe ( i know this hurts me to say this lol) raise the car at the rear.

and they will need time to bed in
