I love my mk3 polo , but i need more power! A G40 would be nice, but its waaaayy to expensive for me. I'm looking for ideas for an engine swap. If anyone has any knowledge or experience on what will fit, i'd love to hear some ideas. My mate suggested a mk2 golf gti, for the ease of mechanical injection and its cheapness, but I'm sure i heard they were a longblock engine, and fitting them might be hard?

If you can fit a Mini clubman with a V8 (in the front in place of the original engine on a BL box), then you can fit anything into a Polo.
