Cos the GT's so low its rubbing on the master cylinder and fudges up the braking! so thinkin if the mastercylinder was smaller problem eliminated??? my thinking being its better to have consistant braking rather than good brakes turning left and crap when turning slightly right!!!

Advice what swapa can be made etc...

do you maean the brake master cylinder on teh rear wheel drum ? maybe?

are you saying its low enough for the right hand steering arm to rub on the master cyl?

Yup- anymore than 80mm and you need to lower your steering arms on the struts.

I'd jack it up abit mate, sounds abit deadly.

how do you loower the steering arms on your struts?

as I'm headig for the beige hustler ride heigth for my army thang so would probably need to know this

Get a rigid steel pipe or beam (scaffold pole,unistrut etc.) and weld two upright steel rods,about 500mm apart. Now weld the steering arm onto the rods,so its held secure at each end and is like a bridge. Measure the arm. Chop out the middle of the steering arm. The two ends shouldnt move (if they do,you have the measurements). Replace with a thick tubular bar,slotted over each end of the original arms and kinked to clear the brake cylinder (25mm galvanised steel conduit from an electrical wholesalers should work,bent in a former). Weld up,paint. You now have an equally strong and rigid steering arm,but with a kink in it,that'll clear the cylinder. If its too big a job,there are engineering workshops about that can do it for you.
