Anyone know where to get some high temp matt black cheap???

halfords... its also called hi temp radiator paint... I've got some for my fanny mold i first got the spray paint but it doesent go very far or theres the brush on paint which is in a small silver pot with a red sticker.

thread high jack sorry. if i was to use high temp paint on a zorst pipe and manifold etc. would you have to use primer or anything to stop it rusting up after a while?

well the paint I've got went funny as it was getting alot of water on it (on a quad lol) but it did last 3/4 months being in the rain and run at high temps so taht stuff i mentioned shouldnt need primer

so No i wouldnt say it does but i would give it ago with zinc primer if i were you and see what happens lol whats teh worst taht can happen

No you wont need a primer but you will need to remove every last bit of flaky rust off it first,I find an acid bath works wonders.

How much is the halfords stuff,i may get halfords trade discount on it.

well it was around the fiver mark and theres a stuff i got tehre (halofrds ) its a gel taht you paint on then an hour late rou wash it off and its back to fresh metal its like a miniture sandblasting kit... lol

just use bbq paint comes in matt black and is heat resisitant to about 220dgreesshould be fine for it

220 degrees is nowhere near enough. VHT paint (the actual brand) is probably the best stuff. The black is resistant to 650 degrees. I did my rocker cover and exhaust manifold when I got my Polo in February and it's still fine. I did the turbo on my dad's Supra though, and it's started flaking. That was 2 years ago
