Mot yesterday advised a spongy brake pedal on my 98 mk4 diesel polo, any idea on the cause? Had a bake fluid change in January.

most probally needs bleeding, sounds like air in the system.

Probley do another fluid change for good measure while I'm at it then.

I recently did a fluid change & got some air in there which caused me major headaches.

I purchased a bleed kit from Halfrauds & the damn thing sorted the problem in 5 mins flat, worth the £15.

TIP; Don't use the kit on a fully inflated tyre as it will pop your MC seals, deflate it so you have a lower pressure. Ref BORT PP Motorsport LOL

the kit i got says to use no more than 20psi, good bit of kit saved me a lot of hassle

phone vw and ask them if it has had the brake servo recall they did mine for free and made the brakes feel so much harder
